long will the exam take?
Most studies are done very quickly; we
do our best to make sure everyone is taken care
of with the utmost care, respect and efficiency.

A Registered & Licensed technologist

I need an appointment for a plain x-ray?
We perform x-rays on a walk-in basis
at all of our locations. You will however be required
to have a written order from your physician with
you or have it faxed to the office you will be

approximate wait time for an x-ray is usually
10 – 15 minutes.
I have my results sent to multiple doctors?
We will gladly send your results to as
many physicians as you would like to have them.
I have to pay for parking?
Parking is free at all of our locations.
At our Syracuse location you will be required
to take a ticket on your way into the parking
lot. Our office staff will validate your parking
ticket for the time spent with us.
will my results be available?
Your exam will be interpreted on the day it is taken. Your results can be called to your doctor immediately, faxed or mailed. Your mammogram results will be received on the day of your exam. You can also access your results 14 days after they are approved through your patient portal account.
is your CT scanner like?
Our CT scanners consist of an open table
with a giant ring at one end. Depending on the
body part being scanned, you may have to be slightly
inside the ring however it is not an enclosed
exam. You will be in constant, uninterrupted contact
with the technologist during the entire exam.
I take my results with me?
Your exams are available to be burned
to a CD shortly after your exam is completed.
You are welcome to wait or we can mail your CD
to the physician(s) you request.

We will gladly work with you on a case

What will I need to do?
There are new requirements for asking about race, language and smoking habits during patient registration. These questions are being asked because of new federal guidelines.
What is the government going to do with my information?
The government believes meaningful use promotes improved healthcare. They plan to track and trend the data collected to provide better healthcare. St. Joseph’s Imaging provides statistics only (i.e. a collection of blood pressure data, height, weight, etc.) and not individual private records.
